Enduro World Championship Greece 2010

28th -29th August 2010
Serres, Greece
Enduro World Championship
Sixth round
Difficult race for TM riders in the GP of GreeceAfter about two months off the Enduro World Championship start again from the GP of Greece with high temperatures that have put many riders and bikes in serious difficult .
This long break has allowed Rodrig Thain to recover from his tailbone fractured suffered in the GP of Slovakia while he was fighting for the podium.
In the first race day of E2 Thain seemed back to usual levels. Fast and determined he was around the third position to lose something on the final and finish fifth. Also Sunday Rodrig start on the right foot and he is inserted again in the fight for the podium until the end of the second lap which he was forced to retire with a sudden physical decline.
Nevertheless Thain can maintain a sixth position in the world ranking, even though the two remaining races to do he will certainly try to enter in the top five.
It was a good start to the weekend also for Maurizio Micheluz that in E1 had gained an excellent sixth place in the first day of the race while he was forced to retire in the second day due to a bad fall that caused the fracture of the nasal septum. Admitted to the hospital in Serres Maurizio has undergone a delicate surgery and kept under observation for 24 hours. Maurizio, returned to Italy on Tuesday, must observe a period of rest and will not be at the start of Turkish Grand Prix this weekend.
Regular race for Michal Kadlecek in E3 class that ends at the ninth and seventh places respectively in the two days of competition. Michal strengthens his seventh place in the standing and for him will be possible to attach the fifth final position of the championship.
Finally we have to report the excellent race by the Australian Joshua Green in Class EJ riding TM EN 300 by Electraction Team (TM distributor for Ireland and UK) terminating in fifth place on Saturday and with a great victory on Sunday. Joshua had already proven to be fast even if the best result was always out of hands because too much falls. Even for Green, who currently lies in sixth position, there is a realistic possibility of getting into the top five rankings.

Next meeting on 4th -5th September in Fethiye for the GP of Turkey, seventh round of the 2010 Enduro World Championship.
