Rodrig Thain e la TM in seconda posizione nella classifica mondiale
Anche il GP di Spagna di Enduro, così come il GP di Motocross in Italia, è stato caratterizzato dall’instabilità delle condizioni meteo.
Il nostro Rodrig Thain, nel primo giorno di gara, ha occupato la seconda posizione dietro al suo connazionale Johnny Aubert quasi fino alla fine. Una brutta caduta sull’extreme-test gli ha fatto perdere quasi un minuto finendo in ottava posizione. Dolorante, è risalito sulla sua TM EN 450F riuscendo a finire in sesta posizione. A fine gara Rodrig ha accusato forti dolori al basso addome ed è stato portato in ospedale per fare alcuni controlli che, fortunatamente, hanno dato esito negativo.
La Domenica è sceso in gara ancora più aggressivo del Sabato e conscio di aver perso punti importanti per la classifica mondiale. Sotto la pioggia e con un terreno molto pesante è riuscito a concludere in terza posizione scavalcando Belometti e passando in seconda posizione nella classifica mondiale provvisoria a pari punti con lo spagnolo Guerrero, sia nella classifica piloti che in quella costruttori.
Ha detto Rodrig a fine gara: “…..Sabato sono caduto davvero male. Fortunatamente senza gravi conseguenze fisiche, ma ho buttato via 7 punti molto importanti…..”.
Luca Cherubini, decimo al Sabato, è stato penalizzato la Domenica da problemi alla schiena.

Prossimo appuntamento il 18-19 Aprile a Iglesias in Sardegna per la terza prova del Campionato Mondiale Enduro 2009.
Rodrig Thain and TM in second place in the world rankings The Enduro GP of Spain, as well as the Motocross GP of Italy, was marked by instability of the weather condition.
Our rider Rodrig Thain, in the first race day, occupied the second position just behind his fellow countryman Johnny Aubert almost until the end. A bad fall at the extreme-test caused him to miss almost a minute finishing in eighth place. With a lot of pain, he starts again with his TM EN 450F managing to finish in sixth position. At the end of the race Rodrig accused a severe pain to his lower abdomen and was taken to the hospital for a few controls that, fortunately, gave negative results.
On Sunday he was again in the race even more aggressive than on Saturday and conscious of having lost important points for the world rankings. Under the rain and with a very heavy ground he managed to finish in third place overtaking Belometti and passing in the second position in the provisional world rankings, both in riders and manufactures, on equal points with the Spanish Guerrero.
Rodrig said at the end of the race: "... .. On Saturday I fell really badly. Fortunately without serious physical consequences, but I threw away 7 very important points ... .. ".
Luca Cherubini, tenth on Saturday, was penalized on Sunday for problems on his back.

Next meeting on 18-19 April to Iglesias in Sardinia for GP of Italy, valid as the third round of the WEC 2009.
