GP of Holland 2009

12th of April 2009
Valkenswaard, Holland
Motocross World Championship
Fourth round

Aigar Leok take honour on the Netherland’s sandOn the dreaded sand of Valkenswaard Aigar Leok has managed to bring home important points.
Thirteenth in the qualifications on Saturday, the strong Estonian rider concluded sixteenth in the first heat after a difficult start that has forced him to recover many positions. It was much better the second heat, with a starting in the middle of the group Aigar has managed to keep up with the best riders throughout the race finishing in the top ten.
Leok has commented at the end of the race: ".... I’m quite satisfied about my race today but I could have done better, especially in the first heat. My TM bike has worked well and I believe that the next GPs I will be able to stay in the top ten positions constantly ... .. ".
Thanks to this result Aigar fell in eleventh position in the world rankings.
The Dutch track has created a little difficulties to the young Czech Martin Michek and his TM MX 250F. Martin is doing experience and he is learning quickly but on sandy tracks all riders have had to pay the price of the novitiate, and could not be otherwise for him. The twenty-seventh place in the first heat not satisfied him, and it is understandable, but we are confident that Martin has the qualities to emerge. It's just a matter of time.

Next meeting on 3rd of May 2009 at Agueda in Portugal, valid as the fifth round of the MX1 - MX2 Motocross World Championship.
