Rodrig Thain al settimo posto negli Internazionali d’Italia MX Non è la prima volta che un endurista si confronta con i big del motocross e ne esce a testa alta. Il nostro Thain a Montevarchi ha dimostrato di essere molto veloce e con il suo terzo miglior tempo nelle prove cronometrate, davanti a Tony Cairoli, aveva fatto intendere già dal mattino quali fossero le sue intenzioni. Rodrig riesce a sfruttare al meglio lo start e riesce a condurre due gare nelle prime cinque posizioni lottando con le star della MX1 fino a che, a pochi giri dalla fine, non è stato costretto a rallentare per problemi agli avambracci. Il settimo e il decimo posto, rispettivamente nelle due manche, non rendono giustizia al pilota francese che in gara 1 si è anche permesso il lusso di far registrare il 4° miglior giro veloce.
Prudente la gara del giovane pilota Ceco Martin Micheck il quale non si è trovato molto a suo agio sul tecnico circuito toscano. Decimo nelle prove ufficiali, Martin, è rimasto attardato allo start di entrambe le manche e ciò non gli ha consentito di andare oltre la diciottesima e diciassettesima posizione nelle due gare in programma.

This is not the first time that an enduro rider is compared with the big motocross riders leaving with a good result. Our Thain in Montevarchi has proven to be very fast and with his third best time in time practice, just in front of Tony Cairoli, had showed by morning what his intentions were. Rodrig manages to get the better start and managed to drive two races in the top five positions struggling with the stars of the MX1 until, a few laps from the end, he was forced to slow down due to problems with the forearms. The seventh and tenth place respectively in the two rounds, do not render justice to the French rider who in race 1 has also reordered the 4th fastest lap.
Prudent race for the young Czech rider Martin Micheck which has not found much at ease on technical Tuscan circuit. Tenth in the official timing, Martin, was forced to recovery after two bad starts until the seventeenth and eighteenth position in the two races scheduled.
